Burns Night

Tranmere Sailing Club played host for an evening with Burns, on 28th January 2017.

The kitchen at Tranmere was put to good use producing spuds backed in sea salt and olive oil. Carrot and swede seasoned with fennel. Pizzas and a beautiful Haggis cooked by fair hands of Vinny. Afters consisted of Apple pie and cream.

Dave and Jannet Hardy organised the stabbing of the Haggis. Scottish dancing. Serenaded by a racket know as the bag pipes. Chardonnay Beer and sherry ware flowing. Scottish dancing was a scream, Stephen Caunter was tripping us all up. Thank fully no broken bones. Commodore to be Paul and family Carol Josh and Natasha all got into the swing of things. Even Vinny got to dance even though it was with a sweeping brush behind the bar, it had the bar staff old timers Jimmy Morris and Tony Valentine in pleats of laughter.

Good time had by all..
