Blue point marine have just agreed to sponsor the Racing section of the calendar competition and the Autumn Series, so the year is already shaping up to be fantastic with renewed interest in the Midnight race to the Isle of Man and the Lyver Trophy

For the Lyver Trophy we have a whole host of new pages which can be found at including the piece in the Newsletter Brief History of Lyver Trophy

We found out about the history of one of our yachts which has been sailing out of Liverpool for over 30 years - Spring Onion

SI Changes were announced and the RYA Racing Charter which we have adopted was announced

Information on the Midnight Race to the Isle of Man was published, but we have also published two picture galleries and a wide range of other information to accompany the piece.


Members of LYC/TSC went on some fantastic journeys in 2016. In 2017 the cruising section want to inspire more members to try cruising followed by the even harder task of writing about it.

It is currently a time of change, as we find our place at Crosby and recover from the loss of our captain.

Our aim is to bring people together to share stories and talk together.

We certainly got together for Go Karts, but our biggest event of the year is the Annual Dinner Dance and Annual Presentation



At Tranmere we are already getting ready for our 125th Birthday this year, and we are starting to think about the 100th Isle of Man race

But we also reminded everyone that the Tranmere Dinner is also a time of Prize giving

Young Members

Young members are aged up to the age of 18 or 21 if they are in full time education

Our Young members are doing great stuff, so it was Congratulations Sam who passed his RYA Level 1 and 2, while Natasha is doing fantastically by raising money for Alder Hey Hospital
