Please find below copies of the documents sent to Liverpool Yacht Club via Peal Ports concering the Port of Liverpool

10 - Liverpool landing stage - prohibited berthing(21/2/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that engineering work is to take place on Liverpool Landing Stage and that all vessels shall be prohibited from berthing alongside Liverpool Landing Stage during the following period:

Monday 5th March 2018 at 0800
to
Friday 9th March 2018 at 1700

Furthermore, during this period, all vessels are requested to pass Liverpool Landing Stage at a suitable distance and at dead slow speed through the water so as to minimize the effects of wash on the structure.

04 - Temporary closure of Alfred River entrance(5/1/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, owing to engineering works, it shall be necessary for the Company to take possession of Alfred River Entrance as follows:

24th February 2018 at 0001 to 2nd March 2018 at 2359

During this period, there shall be no access to or egress from the Birkenhead Docks. Furthermore, all vessels passing Alfred River Entrance are instructed to proceed at reduced speed so as to minimize the effects of wash on the engineering works.

For the avoidance of doubt, Notice to Mariners No 63/2017 remains in force.

09 - River Mersey Gram Sampling(19/02/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that grab samples of the River bed are to be taken off the former Waterloo Lock entrance (approx. 2 cables downstream of the City of Liverpool Cruise Terminal).

The grab sampling shall be undertaken between 0700 to 1900 on 21st February 2018 from the vessel Mersey Guardian. As the grab sampling shall entail Mersey Guardian operating in close proximity to the River wall, all vessels are requested to pass Mersey Guardian at a suitable distance and at dead slow speed through the water so as to minimize the effects of wash.

Mersey Guardian shall maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch.12.

08 -Temporary closure of Langton lock(24/01/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, owing to engineering works, it shall be necessary for the Company to take possession of Langton Lock as follows:

  • 26th January 2018 from 1100 to 1700
  • 27th January 2018 from 1030 to 1600

During the possessions, vessels that can transit the Hornby Passage may continue to do so and be able to use Gladstone Lock for access/egress to/from the Docks. The Gladstone Dock Master should be contacted in the first instance regarding suitability of vessels to transit the Hornby Passage.

07 -Temporary closure of Langton lock(19/01/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, owing to engineering works, it shall be necessary for the Company to take possession of Langton Lock as follows:

  • 21st January 2018 from 1330 to 2030

During the possession, vessels that can transit the Hornby Passage may continue to do so and be able to use Gladstone Lock for access/egress to/from the Docks. The Gladstone Dock Master should be contacted in the first instance regarding suitability of vessels to transit the Hornby Passage.

06 - Temporary closure of Alfred Dock 100' Passageway(19/01/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the works relating to the installation of the new Birkenhead “A” Bridge have been delayed.

Therefore, the temporary closure for five days commencing 29th January 2018 of the 100’ passageway, linking Alfred Dock to the East Float, has been postponed. Notice to Mariners No63/2017 is hereby cancelled.

For the avoidance of doubt, Notice to Mariners No4/2018 remains in force.

05 - Temporary closure of Langton lock(17/01/2018)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, owing to engineering works, it shall be necessary for the Company to take possession of Langton Lock as follows:

  • 18th January 2018 from 1900 to 2130
  • 19th January 2018 from 0200 to 0630
  • 19th January 2018 from 1330 to 1700

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, owing to engineering works, it shall be necessary for the Company to take possession of Langton Lock as follows:

15th January 2018 from 0600 to 1800

During the possession, vessels that can transit the Hornby Passage may continue to do so and be able to use Gladstone Lock for access/egress to/from the Docks. The Gladstone Dock Master should be contacted in the first instance regarding suitability of vessels to transit the Hornby Passage.

10th January 2018 from 1000 to 1530

During the possession, vessels that can transit the Hornby Passage may continue to do so and be able to use Langton Lock for access/egress to/from the Docks.
